The artist

Since Steve first picked up a pencil as a child, his passion for art has continued.  He attended Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art where he studied illustration, graphic design, and animation.  It was through these subjects where he also developed a skill for cartooning and drawing humourous subjects. Steve embarked on a career working in the commercial art industry and finally as an Art Director overseeing the production of a variety of published projects.

It was during this time also that he directed his artistic talents towards his love for the natural beauty of Australia.  With his love of the natural environment, he sat as President and exhibiting member of the Queensland Wildlife Artists’ Society and continued to produce art that was primarily Queensland-based in its themes.

Today, Steve’s work displays the awesome beauty and colours of Australia’s coastal regions.  “I’ve travelled to many memorable places around the world” says Steve, “However, I’m always stunned at the breathtaking beauty of Australia – the cleanness of the air, the special blue of our sky, and the extraordinary blues and greens of our ever-changing sea.  I’m glad others can share in the beauty of Australia through my art.”
